After reading the Yelp Reviews and hearing the ads on the radio, I was looking forward to a marvelous evening out with my husband. Boy was I wrong. As we entered Jimmy's unassuming dining area, there was not one staff person to greet us, the 'dining' room had very few tables, just a large bar. Down in the sun porch we found a place, sat our selves only to find crumbs and food droppings on the freshly set table. Before we were seated the waitress appeared and asked us for our drinks. After moving to a cleaner table, we perused the menu. Several specials caught our eye. I asked the waitress to explain the stuffing in the mushroom appetizer, she replied they are like the cabbage rolls. Really? cause I am supposed to know what that is? I just continued to look at her for more information and she was unable to tell me without going to ask the kitchen, as we ordered our entree . I asked what the Bruchetta Pasta Del Mar had in it, and was told, the same as the topping on the bruchetta bread. Again, really? I replied that del mar is "from the sea" so is there some kind of seafood in the dish??? Again my questions were unanswerable without consultation Ugh! Enough said about the inadequacies of the front of the house. Our salads were brought out before the appetizer, the house dressing lacks any kind of zest or flavor. the 'homemade' bread was OK, but there is much better!! we had finished our salads and the appetizer with a large lull before our meals came, several tables who were seated after us were served before us, mind you it was only pasta and steak, nothing that takes long to cook. The sunset glare was right in our eyes for most the meal, and the thermostat was set way too low, myself and the other patrons asked the staff to change it. As our meal finally arrives my bruchetta pasta del mar is completely monochromatic. There is homemade pasta tossed with garlic, scallops, shrimp and clam meat. Sounds fantastic right? the clam meat was obviously canned product tough and chewy And the shrimp and scallops are completely flavorless as if there were boiled with the noodles, and now onto the noodles....I use the term noodle loosely, parts of them were congealed gelatinous globs of goo and tossed all together without any seasoning or flavor what so ever. I have never in my life had a worse meal. My husbands steak and 'fresh' cut fries was OK, his comment was 'it tastes like a $10 steak' Needless to say we will not EVER be returning and will certainly spread the word of our horrid experience from all aspects of this dining adventure.

Been going to Jimmy's for years. I know Jimmy and the entire staff that work there. It's my favorite watering hole in North Canton. Great food and a great atmosphere. There are a ton of regulars there that have very unique personalities. The live entertainment is never bad either.

We ate at Jimmy's for dinner, we had their clam chowder, fettuccini Alfredo, and pizza; the clam chowder was good, the Alfredo was okay and the pizza could be described as a frozen pizza. We would not go back. Jb

Avoid at all costs. This place was garbage and the owner is a lush. Went here for a birthday party with about 12 people. Apps took an hour and were just sysco slop. A third of the people in our party got their dinner orders and ate their meals, while the rest of us waited. They finished before any other food came out. I ordered a sandwich which apparently takes 3 hours to make. Never even got it. Walked out and won't go back.

Beer and apps - I would stick with that and you will be fine. The back patio is fun for drinking in the summer.... But Ditto to the other comments on the overall vibe .....

Really awful. Staff is rude and the owner was downright weird. Tries to be this really involved, ooh-look-I-mingle-with-all-the-customers type but really just gets way too personal. Seemed really hung up on the age of me and the person I was with, and just asked so many questions. I'm friendly, and I'll chat with just about anyone, but this was way too much. It was the most uncomfortable I have ever been while going out to eat. Also, menu is overpriced for what they're offering. A lady who works at the nearby Giant Eagle told me she thought the food was so-so, but that people who actually like the place just really like it for the huge patio where you can smoke. Even if I did smoke, I wouldn't go back to a place with such creepy, rude people running it.

Jimmy's is not at all what I expected or what it would appear from the outside. What looks like a small country bar turned out to be a fine restaurant. The bar is the central focus with several large screen TVs showing several games at a time. The staff was very friendly and food absolutely fantastic.
